Time for Redemption
LINCOLN (BS) -- Despite their close contest with Texas Tech last Saturday, Nebraska rallied to ensure a battle of the unbeatens this Saturday in Lincoln.
The Huskers get their chance to avenge last year's 31-14 loss in Norman when BS #2 Oklahoma comes to Lincoln this Saturday to face BS #1 Nebraska (ABC, 11:00 a.m. CST).
Beyond just being a matchup of the top two teams in the BS Poll, this game will have major implications on the Big XII title, the Rose Bowl and the Heisman Trophy picture.
Unlike the national championship, the Heisman Trophy does not benefit from the aid of an elaborate and complicated system of polls and mathematical equations to determine its winner. (Yet.)
With game-breaking speed and ankle-bending cuts, Crouch has destroyed nearly every NCAA and Nebraska record for rushing by a quarterback. He is also completing 58 percent of his passes this year.
Dan McCarney, who has coached at Iowa, Wisconsin and now Iowa State, called Crouch "the best college quarterback he has ever seen."
Crouch has racked up so many records that he deadpanned recently, "I'm not aware of records until I break them."
He knows that the only thing that matters is winning games. This Saturday, they have a big chance to do that... and gain redemption.
